Viva La Beauty: The Desert Rose

Hi loves!

You can learn a lot from a desert rose. Even through adversity the dessert rose still manages to let its beauty show. Lately a lot of adversity has been hitting me. But even so I still have to remember to be a desert rose. This  look is a symbolism of what I am going through. No matter what life throws your way, even the most difficult condition, let your beauty show inside and out.

Today's look is inspired by Spanish culture. Growing up in Texas most of my life, I was heavily influenced by the Spanish culture. So I thought I would create a 'Old Mexico' look for you. The colors of this look reminds me of a dessert rose.

Summer In July

Dancing My Sorrows Away

Hi loves! Today's post is about an instagram pic I posted recently in a cute white dress, with red lips, red heels, and red nails. I went out to the club yesterday. Normally I'm not the biggest club goer. I find it quite annoying actually. I  haven't been in probably 7  months. I much rather stay in my local college town and mingle with college kids. However I been super stressed! I'm looking for a new place to live (which I still haven't found), doing modeling, preparing for school, and breaking off bad ties. I'm going through a life change. I'm the type of person that embraces change yet sometimes it can get overwhelming. So I traveled to downtown and hit the club. I wanted to be carefree and happy. And I was. I love to dance. It was at that moment, while I was in the club dancing on stage that I realize life is too fun and beautiful to let things you cannot change get to you. Savor the moment for which you are in and truly and enjoy it still being you.  Life is a beautiful chaotic mess but when I'm sad and overwhelmed dancing is healing for the soul. Just remember to stay soft and don't let the world harden you!

I'm in a great mood today! So far my summer has been so fun! Even though I've been super busy with a lot of things going on I still manage to relax and enjoy the heat. Today's look I wore to a pool party last night. It was fun with popping color! And the puff ball is back! Yesssssss. You like my hair? I use to wear it like this ALL the time when I was a little girl. I feel cute in this hairstyle. Also returning my watermelon Pacsun top. You seen me wear in my Youtube video for one of my looks. But this time I'm pairing it with a deep blue shorts. These shorts are what I call hot pants! They are ripped and short and quite sexy. Something for a pretty young thing to wear for the summer. I snag them at Forever 21!!

Summer In Brazil Part Two

Good morning!
Ava here. I've been super duper busy. So that's why I neglected you. For one thing I been doing photo shoots like crazy. Another thing is I'm looking for a new place to call home. Apartment hunting is quite...exhausting. I literally move every year. I feel like a gypsy. I can't settle down.

But today's look inspire by the flavor of Brazil. The World Cup is going on right now as you know. I thought I would show my support of festivities with fashion. Now I don't know much about soccer (or football) but I'm Team Brazil simply because I love Brazil people and culture. (Not to mention there weaves hehe)

The green and yellow represents the colors of Brazil and the red represents the spicy flavor. A lot of people think it's hard to pair red and green together and it is, but can be done tastefully. The shorts and shirt is from Forever 21.
